1. What resistance level is typically recommended when rowing on C2?

2. Brian, I think I am more excited to see the articles you post daily than the workouts. I learn more from reading those and the pages attached to them than I do during an entire quarter of College (At least of interesting knowledge).
Keep it up man!

PS, you may or may not have stumbled upon this, but I found it amongst the comments of Robb's blog:

http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/2007/10/04/thermodynamics-and-weight-loss/

Pretty enlightening about Thermodynamics.

PPS, I really enjoyed the interview on Crossfit Radio

5. 3786 on the C2. First day on CFE.

Doug, everyone's different. Play around with it and see what works for you. See: http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFitC2_DamperSettings.wmv

I read about CFE on the Crossfit discussion board. Was a bit worried that you were trying to reinvent CF but with long distance runs etc. But I was delighted to find that this is a complement to the CF main board, with some further exercises for those who want to take it to the next level.

Made a (foolish?) bet to run the Melbourne marathon this year with a friend, but I hate distance running, so CFE may be my weapon of choice.

Thanks again for your efforts.

Matthew

6. New years resolution? To use only CFE for this tri/du season. I'm a mileage junkie. I fall off the wagon occasionally when I need a mental release and go for a long slow ride or run. My swimming is slow period. So here goes I'm gonna drink this glass of Kool Aid and do the CFE WOD and the CF WOD....ok the Kool Aid tasted good now how are my long runs/rides gonna be effected? (or is it affected?). Any other CFE types gonna do the New Orleans Half Iron? or events in the Houston/Austin/San Antonio area? Really enjoy the site and info. Now if I can just lay off the enchiladas and go 100% Paleo....maybe next years resolution!

8. I've created a conversion chart for CFE cycling workouts to use power meters. Many CFEers have found it quite helpful. Take a look at crossfitcyclist.wordpress.com

13. Hey I was going to order a pair of Vibrams today, but I'm not sure which style I should get. I wanted the classics but they don't look like they would stay on very well. Then I thought the Flow would be nice because I live in a colder climate. Would they get too hot in the summer though? Just wanted some other people's opinions before I ordered them. Thanks in advance.

Not as rx'd: Rowed 5k instead of 15m TT. Time 18:53, PR (by 10secs) since starting back up in September and CF/CFE in November '08.

15. I wish I could attend that Atlanta training session. I'd love to find out if I'm running pose correctly or not (as well as learning about everything else). But I don't have the money, and the money I would spend on it needs to go to getting an oly bar + weights. Learning costs a lot of money!

19. Dylan, I feel the same way! I'm so busy with the gym opening, I get my CF Wod's in but my endurance WOD's are only 1 or 2 a week...if that. But I always check in to read the article!

24. #1: Settings 3 or 4 on a C2 are the closest representative of water resistance when in a shell. We always used that setting for training when I rowed in college.

Looking forward to the next TT in a few weeks for comparison.

29. Ran 4.58mi. Not terrible considering I haven't done a hard run in a month, but quite a ways from a PR distance. Felt good to get the shoes back on though.
